Following the release of the V-12 Vantage Carbon Black and DBS Carbon Black, Aston Martin is unleashing the DB9 Carbon Black alongside two other special edition DB9 vehicles at the end of 2010 for the revised 2011 model. The other DB9 editions include the Morning Frost package, which is coated in a pearlescent white exterior finish with a bronze leather interior, and the Quantum Silver package, which offers a sportier look thanks to its exterior color and black highlights. The Quantum Silver exterior color was made famous by the DBS featured in the last James Bond movie, Quantum of Solace. The Quantum Silver finish is enhanced further by the Obsidian Black interior along with Piano Black trim.

The DB9 Morning Frost features the same 19-inch 10-spoke diamond-turned wheels but in silver instead of black. The silver brake calipers, magnum silver grilles, and metallic bronze leather headlining with perforated seat inners, and Piano Black interior accents complement those rims.

Each of the three editions will carry a laser etched sill plaque depicting the famous Aston Martin wings insignia along with a "Morning Frost," "Carbon Black," or "Quantum Silver” inscription.
